Doreen Miller: "My soap is made from home, using only pure essential oils, flower petals, sea weed, herbs and spices. The base oils are olive, palm and coconut. At this time I use an assortment of scents, among them being, eucalyptus, ylang ylang, patchouli, cinnamon, lavender and tea tree. I change and adapt my recipes according to what takes my fancy. One of my earlier childhood memory was of my adopted mother making soap, some for cleaning and washing clothes and others for bathing. My natural mother and grandmother were also soapmakers. I am a Mi'kmaq native raised by the Maliceets in New Brunswick. In 2003, with David, my husband and our pet Charlie, I returned to Canada, after 26 years in England, where we lived and raised our two daughters. In England, I successfully sold my soap in shops and also at the local Corn Exchange. We have made Lunenburg our home.
